It has been WAY too long since I've made a post! I noticed that in 3 months, it will have been a year! WHAT? My creativity outlet has been quiet for too long and I have so many things to share! So many new things have happened since April of 2016. The Mr. & I are expecting a baby girl in June & we just got a new Giberian Shepsky puppy! It's been one fun adventure so far!
The first project I thought I'd share was this fun rolling kitchen island makeover I started on back in September. I know right? September and I'm just now sharing? Yeah. Truth be told, I just finished the last handle on this bad boy this morning haha! Now this thing isn't perfect but it's perfect for us! We have such a small kitchen and desperately needed this extra storage space. It had been sitting at my office where I work for too long & was falling apart. It definitely needed some TLC and a new home instead of the dumpster in the back of our shop! Check out below the transformation!

When I brought this thing home, I'm not going to lie it was pretty gross. There were coffee stains dripping down it, cobwebs and broken doors. Just like everything you see, you have to look beyond that and see the potential! Promise, it's there!
I went ahead and used some paint I had on hand. I love the Valspar Chalky Finish Paint from Lowes.
As you can see, it has gotten a lot of use haha.

Here it is with one coat of paint. I ended up doing two coats of paint so you couldn't see any of the bamboo wood color coming through.
To make this a really cheap makeover, I could have spray painted the hardware black and called it good but I wanted to give the drawers a different look. I've been eyeing this hardware for a while now and really wanted to use it on a project. This was the perfect one! These pulls & knobs are from a brand called "styleselections" You can get these from Lowes. (:
Before the reveal, I just have to share this. Just like her sister, she's gotta be in the picture and see what mom is doing. <3
Alright, now that we've seen the complete cuteness that is puppies......without further ado.....
I also really quickly wanted to give a shout out to a friend who is extremely talented you guys! Right there in the right hand bottom corner is a custom dog food & water bowl that Bobby @ Mettle and Wood made. It's awesome and our dogs love it being up off the ground a bit.

To quote one of my favorite movies, The Grinch...
"One man's trash is another man's potpourri" (;
Hope you guys are having a wonderful weekend so far!
